Rain protection for the Z6III
What is sealed, what is not, and a cheap cover that works.
What is sealed
The Z6III body and the 24-70mm f/4 S are dust and drip resistant. Treat the 28mm and the 70-180mm as splash-proof at best. The Coolpix P1100 is not sealed at all and only comes out in dry weather. Steady drizzle is fine for the body and the zoom; a downpour for an hour is not.
A cover
A simple clear rain sleeve that fits over the 70-180mm, with a drawcord at the hood. It costs little and folds into a jacket pocket.
After the rain
Wipe the body down before opening the battery or card doors, and leave the bag open overnight to dry.
