Slow mornings on the greenway

On riding the greenway before work, and why the commute became the best part of the day.

The ride

Twenty minutes of greenway along the creek, mist in the low spots, the runners out before the traffic. It is the same ride every day and never feels like it.

Paying attention

A Great Blue Heron on the same rock most mornings. A Belted Kingfisher that rattles past under the footbridge. The light through the trees, which changes by the week.

The point

Exercise you do not have to schedule, and half an hour outside before a day of screens.
