28mm or 24-70mm for street days

Which lens to put on the Z6III for a day of street shooting, and when it is worth carrying both.

Updated 1 min read

Carry the 28mm when

You walk more than you wait. The camera is small enough to hold all day and people ignore it. The fixed view keeps you moving your feet.

Carry the 24-70mm when

You plan to stand somewhere and wait for the picture, or the scene needs a tighter frame. At 50 to 70mm you can pick a face out of a crowd from across the street.

Both

For a trip day, yes: the 28mm on the camera and the zoom in the bag. Swap only when you stop for coffee, not in the middle of the street.
